Helping Your Child Reach Their Full Visual Potential*
ACCESS TO COURSE STARTS OCTOBER 15, 2020.
You may be asking yourself, "How can I effectively work with or help someone who has Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI)?".
One of the biggest challenges CVI therapists and parents have are finding activities that are appropriate for their child's learning phase. I have found that a child with cortical visual impairment can have vision characteristics from more than one of the three phases created by Dr. Roman-Lantzy. Her phases are a guide in giving your something to work with as far as the vision needs of your child. Now there is more information out there about vision to further enhance your abilities to influence your child's or client's vision.
What does this mean for you? As a parent or therapist there are crucial aspects about your client's or child's vision you might be missing.
In this training you will have access to and learn how to use the "CVI Colors Assessment Tool" both in a black and white background. You will learn valuable application methods in helping a child with Cortical Visual Impairment:
- LEARN COLOR
- FIND THEIR COLOR PREFERENCES
- IDENTIFYING THEIR VISION CHALLENGES
- IMPROVING THEIR VISION CHALLENGES
- DISCOVERING THEIR VISION POTENTIAL IDENTIFY SHAPES
I will also show you various ways to work effectively with a child's vision when you are alone or with an aid.
What you'll get:
- CVI training video based on designated topic
- 4-5 weekly exercise videos based on training
- 30 day PDF Calendar Guide to keep you on track with daily implementation of training and exercise materials
- Certificate of Completion**
-
*"Full Visual Potential" in this context is referring to the vision potential your child individually is capable of; therefore, each child's "Full Visual Potential" is different. These course do not guarantee that your child will see like a typical person, but again they aid in helping your child reach the full vision potential that he or she is individually capable of.
**You must have viewed all the training videos and submitted your completed weekly and daily calendar files to [email protected] to show that you watched and applied the material in the course.
